This variety belongs to the Italica group and is characterized by a short or medium-length stem, as well as a medium-length panicle with straight or very slightly curved primary axis. The glabrousness of the penultimate leaf blade is absent or weakly expressed, and the anthocyanin coloration of the auricles is absent, which is a distinctive feature of this variety. The broken grain has a short or medium length and a semi-circular shape, with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 24 to 27 grams.

'AZOVSKIY' is distinguished by its high resistance to lodging and shattering, which enhances its reliability during cultivation and harvest collection. The variety is recommended for cultivation in Krasnodar Krai and the North Caucasus region, confirming its adaptation to the climatic conditions of these territories.
