Slavutich

The garden strawberry variety Slavutich is a medium-sized semi-spreading bush with good foliage and a moderate number of light pinkish-green runners. The leaves are wide, medium-sized, green with slight wrinkling and ribbing, hairless and dull with toothed margins. Flower stalks are positioned at the leaf level and have sparse pubescence, which promotes good inflorescence development.

Slavutich berries have a correct conical shape, red color with a shiny surface, and no neck. Fruits are acid-sweet with dense and juicy flesh, possessing a pleasant strawberry aroma. The average berry weight is about 18.9 grams. The variety is characterized by medium yield, reaching approximately 0.7-0.8 kg per bush, which corresponds to 116.1 centners per hectare.

The Slavutich variety belongs to medium maturity and is self-fertile. It is hardy to winter, tolerating temperatures down to -25°C, prefers sunny locations, and does not tolerate waterlogged soil. The plant grows well on various soil types, including chernozem, loam, and podzolic soils. Flowering occurs in May-June, while fruit ripening is in June-July. The variety is resistant to some diseases and pests, making it suitable for cultivation in fruit orchards.
