Description

Malwina / Malwina is a late-maturing variety developed by German breeders in 2010. The berries are large, averaging 40 to 55 grams, sometimes reaching 60 grams. The fruit has a deep red or cherry-like color, a short conical shape, dense flesh, and a strong aroma with pronounced raspberry notes. Sweet and dessert-like in taste, the berries retain their sweetness even during technical ripeness. Ripening begins at the end of June to early July and lasts about 2-3 weeks, making "Malwina" one of the latest-ripening strawberry varieties with single-season fruiting. The plants are large, growing up to 35-50 cm tall and about 50 cm in diameter, with shiny, large, bright green leaves. The plant is vigorous, producing many runners and flower stems during summer. The flowers are large, and the variety does not require additional pollination. Yield is high — one plant can produce 600 to 900 grams or more, making it suitable for both home gardens and open-ground cultivation, as well as for commercial production. The "Malwina" variety is highly resistant to frost, drought, powdery mildew, and many other diseases. However, plants may be susceptible to pests, so preventive protective measures are recommended. Due to its qualities and characteristics, Malwina strawberry is an excellent choice for those who appreciate large, aromatic, sweet berries with late ripening.
