Ruslan is a high-yielding early-ripening grape variety bred by breeder V.V. Zagoruлько. The ripening period is about 110-115 days, allowing for harvest at the end of July to early August. Bushes are vigorous, with large dark green leaves and sturdy flower stalks located at leaf level or slightly below. Bunches are large, often conical in shape, medium density, weighing from 700 to 1500 grams. Berries are very large, oval-shaped, blue color with a noble white bloom, weighing 14-16 grams.
The pulp is firm, juicy and crisp, with an easily eaten medium-density skin. The taste is harmonious, with pronounced fruity tones, especially a plum aftertaste, as well as sweetness and a refreshing aroma. Due to its high commercial value and attractive appearance, the berries are in demand for both fresh consumption and transport, as the variety has high transportability and the ability to remain on the bushes for a long time.
The Ruslan variety is characterized by high resistance to fungal diseases and pests, as well as good hardiness — it withstands temperatures down to minus 23-25 °C. Additionally, it shows endurance to unfavorable growing conditions, including drought, which allows it to be grown in various climatic zones, including risky agricultural zones. These qualities make Ruslan a versatile and reliable choice for gardeners and viticulturists.
