SLONENOK

Slonenok is a variety of garden strawberry (clouberries) of medium ripening period, bred by specialists of the Federal Altai Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology. This variety is distinguished by winter hardiness and disease resistance, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in regions with a cold climate, such as the West Siberian and East Siberian. However, the berries of the variety may be susceptible to rot, which requires careful care during storage and harvest.

Slonenok berries are large, red-aloe colored, widely egg-shaped, with a pronounced strawberry aroma and a sweet-sour taste. Bushes are powerful, upright and sprawling, which contributes to good ventilation and lighting of plants. The yield of the variety is average, with indicators from 7.13 to 8.73 tons per hectare, however, fruiting may be unstable depending on growing conditions.

The variety is universal and suitable for both industrial cultivation and home gardening. Plants can be grown in containers with a closed root system, which facilitates care and allows the use of the variety on limited areas. Due to its characteristics, Slonenok is a good choice for gardeners seeking to obtain quality berries in cold climate conditions.
