Strawberry KALINKA

Professional choice: The resilience of Kalinka strawberry

Developed by the Federal Research Center for Horticulture, the 'Kalinka' strawberry variety is built for agricultural operations that prioritize robustness over delicate maintenance. Its primary strength lies in its ability to withstand extreme environmental pressure: with high frost tolerance (-25°C) and excellent drought resistance, it is a reliable choice for regions where climate volatility threatens standard yields.

Agronomic efficiency in the field

• Production capacity: Yields exceeding 2 kg per unit area make it a commercially viable choice. The plant’s vigor in forming runners is a significant advantage, allowing for cost-effective expansion and renewal of the plantation using in-house resources.
• Market quality: Featuring dark red berries with an attractive round shape and medium density, this variety meets the aesthetic and logistical requirements of the fresh produce market.
• Disease management: High resistance to common diseases significantly reduces the frequency of fungicide applications, allowing for lower operational costs and a more sustainable management approach.

With a medium ripening window of 40–50 days, 'Kalinka' fits perfectly into a standardized harvesting schedule. Its versatility makes it suitable for both direct retail distribution and industrial processing. For growers seeking a low-maintenance, industrial-grade crop that does not compromise on productivity, 'Kalinka' provides a stable, long-term solution for diverse field conditions.
