Raspberry Luch

Working with the "Luch" raspberry variety

"Luch" is a variety designed for consistency rather than just aesthetics.

Handling and Harvesting

The main advantage for anyone working in the field is the canes, which have very few thorns. Harvesting becomes much more comfortable: the speed increases, and manual labor is significantly easier on the hands. The canes are sturdy and usually do not require a complex trellis system, which saves time and effort during routine maintenance of the raspberry patch.

Technical Specifications

• Berries: Weighing between 3–5g, they are the ideal size for consistent quality and are excellent for freezing and industrial processing.
• Flavor: A balanced sweet-and-sour profile, perfect for jams and preserves, as the berries maintain their integrity during processing.
• Maturity: A mid-season variety. It allows for a well-planned harvest schedule, preventing bottlenecks during the busiest weeks of the season.

Adaptability and Winter Hardiness

High winter hardiness is a defining feature of the "Luch" variety. The bushes handle temperature fluctuations and harsh winters very well. After a tough winter, the plants recover quickly and move into an active fruiting phase without extra effort. If you are looking for a variety for a commercial farm where survival and consistent yield are priority, "Luch" is a proven, reliable choice.
