Raspberry Sanya

Technical Specifications and Performance

The «Sanya» variety, developed by the Institute of Horticulture of NAAS, is a product of selective breeding focused on high cold resistance and commercial fruit quality. As a single-cropping variety, it allows producers to maintain a predictable harvesting schedule and streamline processing operations.

Fruit Morphology and Commercial Qualities

The defining feature of «Sanya» is its conical berry shape. With an average weight of 5–7 grams, the fruits possess the firmness necessary for handling and transportation. The balance of acidity and sweetness provides a versatile flavor profile, making this variety an excellent raw material for frozen food production, preserves, and juices.

Resilience and Field Adaptability

The primary advantage of this variety is its exceptional winter hardiness. This genetic characteristic ensures stable yields even after harsh winters, significantly reducing the risk of bud necrosis. Its mid-season maturity enables «Sanya» to fit perfectly into a sequential harvesting cycle, helping farms bridge the gap between early and late-season varieties effectively.
