Bryanskoe Divo is a remontant raspberry variety featuring large berries, excellent commercial qualities, and abundant fruiting on annual canes. The berries have an elongated-conical shape, are red, dense, and uniform in structure. The average berry weight is 7-9 grams, with a maximum of up to 11 grams. The berries have an acid-sweet taste, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and various types of processing. Ripening begins in the second decade of August, and fruiting continues until autumn frosts, allowing up to 70-90% of the potential yield to be realized.
The variety is characterized by high yield—about 18-20 tons per hectare, or 2.5-3 kilograms per bush. Bushes reach a height of 1.5-1.7 meters and require pruning of fruited canes in summer to stimulate fruiting on young canes. Bryanskoe Divo features moderate prickliness and a lack of root suckers, which simplifies care for the raspberry patch but complicates propagation.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant seedlings with a closed root system in a sunny location on fertile, non-acidic soil with regular irrigation during dry periods. The soil should be enriched with manure or well-rotted compost and topped with ash before planting, and mulched with a thick layer of sawdust or agro-material after planting. Thanks to the dense skin, the berries withstand transportation well without losses, making the variety attractive for commercial cultivation.
