CHELYABINSK LARGE-FRUITED

The Chelyabinsk large-fruited raspberry variety is a mid-late traditional variety bred at the South-Urals Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Growing. The bushes of this variety are of medium height, reaching heights from 1.8 to 2.0 meters, and have medium shoot-forming ability. The berries are light red in color, round or widely oval, and differ in large size – the mass of one berry varies from 2.6 to 4.5 grams. The berries have a sour-sweet, pleasant taste, which makes them attractive for both fresh consumption and processing.

The variety is characterized by high yield and good winter hardiness, especially when covered with snow. It is resistant to raspberry mite and fungal diseases, which significantly facilitates care and increases the reliability of the harvest. Chelyabinsk large-fruited raspberry bears fruit on last year's shoots, and after harvesting, old shoots are recommended to be removed to maintain bush health and increase productivity.

This variety is excellent for growing on sunny plots with fertile soil. The berries are versatile in application: they are suitable for all types of processing, including freezing and technical processing. Seedlings are supplied with a packaged root system and require storage at temperatures from 0 to +2°C until planting.
