The "Nadezhda" raspberry variety is an early-ripening and high-yielding variety developed to meet the requirements for growing in the Central Volga region. Bushes are of medium height, ranging from 60 to 70 cm, with a medium-spreading form and medium cane-forming ability. Two-year-old canes are light brown with short, slightly downward-curved thorns, while one-year-old canes have a purple hue with a waxy coating. Leaves are green, of medium size and shape.
The berries of the "Nadezhda" variety are obtuse-conical in shape, red in color, of medium density, with a tart-sweet taste and a light aroma. The average mass of berries from the first harvest reaches 3.5 g, while in subsequent harvests it is about 2.3 g. Dry matter content is 14.4%, and vitamin C is 55 mg, making the berries not only tasty but also beneficial. The yield of the variety is high and reaches 43 centners per hectare.
The variety is distinguished by good frost resistance and high drought resistance, which allows for successful cultivation under conditions of moderate irrigation and fertile soil. Thanks to these qualities, "Nadezhda" is suitable for growing in regions with variable climatic conditions, ensuring a stable and quality harvest.
