Description Otradnaya
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the Minusinsk Experimental Station for Horticulture and Melon Growing by pollinating the Minusinka variety with a pollen mixture of Primorsky Champion, 3oya, and Altai Champion. Authors: V.F. Cherkashin, E.P. Kuminov, T.K. Smyskova. Included in the State Register of Varieties Approved for Use in the West Siberian and East Siberian regions in 1990.

Bush is vigorous, slightly spreading, medium density. Growing shoots are thick, straight, light-green, uncolored, hairless; woody shoots are medium thickness, straight, light-gray, hairless, shiny. Buds are small, elongated, pointed at the apex, light-green, weakly anthocyanic, moderately hairy, deviated, solitary, leaf scar shape wedge-shaped.

Leaf is three-lobed, large, light-green, matte, bare, wrinkled, herbaceous, blade concave along main veins. Lobes are sharp, central lobe wide, long, with protrusions. Side lobes are medium, wide, apexes sharp, directed sideways, angle between veins straight. Leaf base has slightly open notch. Teeth are medium, not curled, veins uncolored. Leaf petiole is long, thick, hairless, green, located on the shoot at an acute angle.

Flowers are medium size, calyx lobes light-pink, arranged loosely. Inflorescences are short, medium density, thick, axis thick, pedicel short, hairless.

Berries are large (1.4-1.9 g), round, one-dimensional, black, shiny, with wet detachment, numerous small seeds, thin skin, sweet-tart flavor (4 points), universal use. Receptacle is closed, medium, non-deciduous, pedicel short, brown-green, hairless. Chemical composition: dry solids — 12.9%, sugar sum — 3.6%, titratable acidity — 2.5%, ascorbic acid — 176.1 mg/100 g.

Variety is highly winter-hardy, drought-resistant, heat-tolerant, self-fertility up to 30%, resistant to powdery mildew, anthracnose, septoria, and bud mite, average yield 7.7 t/ha (1.6 kg/plant),

Advantages of the variety: winter hardiness, early fruiting, high annual yield, comprehensive resistance to major pests and diseases, high technological qualities.

Disadvantages of the variety: high acidity, thin skin, wet berry detachment, susceptibility to leaf spot diseases.
