The «Muza» raspberry variety is a mid-late Urals variety with tall bushes of semi-erect type. The berries of this variety have a conical shape and a light-red color, with a mass of about 2–2.5 grams. The pulp is tender, with a pleasant sweet taste, in which aroma and a slight acidity harmoniously blend. The tasting rating of fresh berries reaches 5 points, which confirms their high quality and appeal for dessert consumption.
The «Muza» variety is distinguished by high frost resistance and medium drought resistance, which makes it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Urals and the Volga-Vyatsky region. Resistance to pests and diseases is at the level of standard varieties, which facilitates plant care and reduces the need for intensive protection. The yield of the variety is about 33.5 centners per hectare, and the ripening period falls on the end of the second decade of July, which allows obtaining the harvest quite uniformly.
This raspberry variety is universal in application: berries are suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and processing. High content of sugars (5.9%), acids (1.7%), and vitamin C (24.6 mg%) makes the fruits not only tasty but also beneficial. The variety was obtained by selection from seedlings of open pollination of Scottish varieties and is the result of breeding in the Sverdlovsk region, which confirms its adaptation to local conditions and high quality.
