Augustina is a popular remontant raspberry variety, known for its compactness and suitability for cultivation even on small plots. Bushes reach a height of up to 160 cm, featuring powerful upright canes with small thorns and large dark green leaves without pubescence. Thanks to its compact form and attractive appearance, the variety is often used for creating modern landscape designs in gardens.
This raspberry variety bears fruit twice per season: the first harvest is collected in early June, and the second, more abundant, from late August until the first frosts. Berries are dark raspberry or dark red in color, quite large, weighing up to 5 grams, have a firm texture and a moderately sweet taste with high sugar content. The fruits have a beautiful gloss and remain on the receptacles for 7-10 days, allowing for longer storage of the harvest without loss of quality.
Augustina is characterized by high resistance to various diseases, including viral infections, fungal diseases, and pests such as raspberry and spider mites. Yield per bush varies from 1.5 to 5 kg, and per hectare reaches up to 12 tons.
