Rapeseed Sapsan

High-yield Winter Rapeseed for Professional Farming

Selecting the right seed is a foundational step for any profitable winter crop campaign. The "Sapsan" hybrid by "Terra-Yug Ukraine" is engineered for agronomists who prioritize consistency and performance in their production fields. As a simple linear hybrid, it offers reliable development and excellent adaptation to diverse soil and climate conditions.

Key Technical Specifications

The agronomic profile of Sapsan is designed to streamline harvesting operations while maximizing biological yield. Key metrics include:

• Plant Height: 150–160 cm, ensuring optimal biomass for high yields while maintaining structural stability against lodging.
• Flowering Duration: 30–40 days, which provides a wider window for pollination and pod development, reducing stress during the critical spring transition.
• Oil Content: 40–45%, meeting the quality standards required by major processing plants.
• Yield Potential: 50–60 dt/ha, achievable under intensive management practices.

Practical Field Application

In practice, Sapsan is highly favored for its uniform growth habit. This uniformity simplifies post-emergence herbicide applications, growth regulator timing, and desiccation before harvest. For producers looking to optimize their logistics, the 150–160 cm height provides the perfect balance: it is tall enough to produce high biomass, yet stable enough to withstand weather challenges common in the region.

When utilizing Sapsan in a crop rotation, focus should be on timely nitrogen application and monitoring for pests during the extended 30–40 day flowering period. By investing in this hybrid, farms can secure a high-quality product that consistently performs, offering a solid return on investment through superior oil content and high tonnage per hectare. It is a robust solution for those seeking a predictable, high-input response variety from a trusted local producer like Terra-Yug Ukraine.
