Daktari

Daktari is a mid-early winter rapeseed hybrid with high yield and oil content potential. It features active autumn growth and good adaptability to various climatic zones, including the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. The hybrid is resistant to major rapeseed diseases such as phomopsis, sclerotinia, and cylindrosporiosis, as well as the turnip yellow mosaic virus (TuYV), ensuring stable yields and high seed quality.

A distinctive feature of this variety is its well-developed root system, which promotes efficient nutrient uptake, especially nitrogen, positively affecting plant growth and development. The medium-height Daktari plants exhibit high resistance to lodging, reducing the need for growth regulators during autumn and spring periods. Despite lacking genes for fungal disease resistance, the hybrid requires mandatory fungicide applications to protect crops.

Daktari is suitable for early and optimal planting dates, allowing full realization of its potential. Independent trials in Germany confirmed the hybrid's leadership position, where it ranked first in yield, achieving 105 % compared to control varieties, equivalent to approximately 52.8 c/ha. Thanks to its combination of high yield, disease resistance, and adaptability, Daktari is a reliable choice for efficient winter rapeseed cultivation.
