Rapeseed Mercedes — this is a mid-season, high-yielding winter rapeseed hybrid selected by Lembke, with a yield potential of up to 60 centners per hectare and a stable actual yield of around 50 centners per hectare at oil content over 45%. The hybrid is characterized by strong autumn development, high spring regenerative capacity, and vigorous early spring growth, significantly reducing the risk of winter yield loss. Thanks to its strong stem and well-developed crown, Mercedes forms a large number of pods, ensuring high yield stability and quality. One of the key features of rapeseed Mercedes is its high winter hardiness, practically guaranteeing successful winter survival, as well as drought and lodging resistance. These qualities make the hybrid particularly suitable for cultivation in Southern and Central regions, as well as in forest-steppe, Polissia, and steppe zones. Rapeseed adapts well to various soil types, including light and heavy soils, and can be successfully grown at late sowing dates and without plowing. The Mercedes hybrid has a low level of glucosinolates, positively affecting product quality. The recommended seeding rate is 400–550 thousand seeds per hectare. For optimal growth and increased yield, growth regulators can be applied at certain growth stages.
