Rapeseed Scotch

Performance and health: A German standard

When it comes to winter rapeseed, the biggest nightmare is the disease pressure that can ruin your margins before harvest even begins.

Agronomic reliability

Scotch is a simple linear hybrid, and its predictability is its best feature. It starts evenly in the autumn, forms a robust rosette, and survives the winter with ease. This isn't one of those fragile hybrids that wilts at the first hint of a temperature shift. It puts down a solid foundation, which is crucial for maximizing yield potential from the very start of the season.

Built-in disease control

The real highlight here is the genetic resistance. Dealing with Verticillium, Phoma, and Cylindrosporium usually burns through the budget on expensive fungicide programs. With Scotch, these pathogens are kept in check naturally. It’s a clean crop that keeps your input costs under control.

Harvest efficiency

At harvest time, Scotch delivers both in terms of yield and oil content. The plant structure is uniform and resists lodging, which means the combine header can run at high speed without grain loss. For an operator, it is a low-stress crop that consistently performs well.
