Radish Tenderness

Stability and Taste: Why "Nezhnost" is the Choice for Early Harvests

The "Nezhnost" radish is the result of selective breeding by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production and the Poisk agro-firm. It is a classic example of a crop focused on producing marketable yields in the shortest possible time. From germination to technical maturity, it takes 25 to 30 days, making it an essential component for continuous harvest cycles in home gardens and small farms.

Key Characteristics

• Appearance and Weight: The bright red, globe-shaped roots typically weigh between 20 and 30 grams, an ideal size for a standard high-quality radish.
• Earliness: The stable one-month growth cycle allows for multiple sowings per season, starting as early as spring.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The main advantage of "Nezhnost" is the predictability of its harvest. Unlike many hybrids that are highly sensitive to day length, this variety shows excellent adaptability to various climates. It is resistant to rapid bolting during short-term temperature fluctuations, which is often the biggest drawback of early-maturing varieties.

However, it is important to note: like any early radish, this variety requires regular watering. If moisture is scarce, the root can lose its tender texture, become excessively pungent, or develop hollow spots. Therefore, "Nezhnost" is ideal for those prepared to maintain consistent soil moisture to ensure a crisp, dense, and high-quality vegetable.

Who is this variety for?

"Nezhnost" is the perfect choice for home gardeners who value quick results. It performs well in both greenhouses and open soil. If you need a reliable yield of early vitamin-rich greens with minimal risk of the plants going to seed prematurely, this variety is an excellent investment.
