TM-04/FL

TM-04/FL — a late-maturing cabbage variety characterized by a long ripening period from germination to technical maturity, lasting 140-150 days. The heads of this variety are round-convex or flat-convex in shape, medium-sized with a weight of 3 to 3.5 kg. The variety is distinguished by good transportability, resistance to head cracking and spot necrosis, as well as heat and cold tolerance, making it suitable for long-term winter storage and pickling.

TM-04/FL cabbage has a dense structure and a distinctly pronounced vegetable flavor with a delicate sweetness. The leaves are oval and tightly adhere to each other, providing protection for the heads from summer sun and creating a natural greenhouse effect in autumn. The flower head diameter is 15–25 cm, and the fruit weight varies from 1.5 to 3.5 kg depending on growing conditions. Flavor qualities are retained both fresh and after thermal processing.

This variety can be grown in different seasons, including early spring, summer, and autumn, using greenhouses or open ground. For early harvests, seeds should be sown in February-March for transplanting into greenhouses or under plastic film. When grown in open ground, seedlings are transplanted after forming at least four true leaves with an optimal planting scheme of 50x30 cm. To preserve whiteness and density of heads, shading methods are applied by breaking or tying leaves with rubber bands when heads reach the size of a hazelnut.
