Cabbage TM-04/FL

Agrotechnical potential of TM-04/FL

This white cabbage variety from PMP "Tiras" is a specialized solution for farms focused on a prolonged sales cycle. The key value of TM-04/FL lies in its genetically determined maturation cycle (140-150 days), classifying the crop as a late-season variety with high head density.

Yield Architecture and Field Performance

The round-flat shape of the head provides an optimal engineering solution for stabilizing the weight within the 3.0–4.0 kg range. This geometry promotes even load distribution during mechanized harvesting and subsequent packaging. The dense leaf structure, characteristic of this variety, ensures mechanical resilience, minimizing damage during transport.

Storage and Processing Technology

The primary advantage of TM-04/FL is its storage capability. The 10–12 month storage period is achieved through slowed biochemical processes in the plant tissues after harvesting. From an agronomic perspective, this allows farmers to respond to market conditions, waiting for peak prices in the spring. Requirements for processing (fermentation, pickling) are met by a high dry matter content, making this hybrid a sought-after raw material for the food industry.
