Radish GRAIVORONSKAYA

Operational Profile of the 'Grayvoronskaya' Variety

For agricultural operations, 'Grayvoronskaya' represents a classic late-maturing radish variety with a 90–100 day growth cycle. This timing requires precise planting schedules to ensure the crop matures fully before soil temperatures drop, optimizing the harvest window for storage-ready produce.

Field Performance and Resource Management

• Crop Specifications: With individual roots exceeding 1000 grams, space management is vital. The cylindrical shape requires deep, loose soil to prevent deformation; compact soil layers will inhibit the root's natural expansion, leading to yield losses in uniformity.
• Harvesting and Logistics: The scale of the roots makes them ideal for large-scale operations, though the white skin requires careful handling. Post-harvest, these radishes demonstrate excellent storage durability, provided they are cleaned and cured properly.
• Genetic Reliability: Developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, this variety is highly stable and does not require complex chemical interventions. It is designed to perform consistently under standard agronomic practices, rewarding growers who focus on soil structure rather than excessive inputs.

Maintenance is straightforward: focus on consistent soil moisture during the final 30 days of growth. The cultivar’s ability to bulk up significantly in the final phase makes it a cost-efficient option for late-season production, offering high tonnage without the need for intensive mid-summer irrigation efforts.
