Radish Black Pearl

Long-Term Storage and Commercial Performance

"Cherny Zhemchug" (Black Pearl) is a late-maturing radish variety engineered for high-yield commercial production. With a growing cycle of 90–100 days, this variety is specifically adapted for late-season harvest, making it an excellent choice for farms aiming to supply the market during winter months.

Key Agronomic Attributes

Developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production (Russia), this variety prioritizes storage capacity and consistent sizing. The root structure is optimized for durability, ensuring minimal shrinkage or decay over time.

• Yield & Mass: The crop consistently produces large, uniform roots weighing between 250 and 400 grams, simplifying sorting and packaging processes.
• Form & Appearance: The flat-round shape is highly efficient for automated harvesting equipment and standard crate packing. The black skin serves as a protective barrier, enhancing shelf life.
• Management Strategy: Best suited for areas with a long autumn season. The plant requires consistent moisture during the development phase to reach its maximum weight capacity of 400g.

For large-scale producers, "Cherny Zhemchug" offers a predictable schedule. By aligning planting dates with the 90–100 day maturity window, producers can ensure high-quality, uniform output that meets retail standards for both size and storability.
