The Red Cress variety Contrast is an early-maturing vegetable that reaches technical maturity in just 22-23 days after germination. This variety is distinguished by high yield and is adapted for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, with narrowly oval leaves of yellowish-green color and petioles with anthocyanin coloring. The root crops have a round or round-elliptical shape with a flat head, red color with a characteristic white tip, and a mass ranging from 19 to 30 grams.

The flesh of the Red Cress Contrast is white, juicy, and very tender, providing excellent taste qualities. The variety withstands conditions of insufficient illumination and low temperatures well, while the root crops do not lose freshness and do not wilt for a long time. Due to these properties, the Red Cress retains an attractive appearance and taste even under unfavorable growing conditions.

Red Cress Contrast is most often consumed fresh, it is perfect for making salads and traditional okroshka. Sowing is recommended to be carried out at the end of April – beginning of May and in July, to a depth of about 1 cm with inter-row distances of 4-7 to 13 cm. This variety combines rapid maturity, cold resistance, and high product quality, making it an excellent choice for gardeners and lovers of fresh vegetables.
