The 'English Breakfast' radish variety is an early-maturing and high-yield variety, with a period from germination to harvest of about 20–24 days. The root crops of this variety have a bright red color and an elongated cylindrical shape, about 8 cm long, with a thin tail. The flesh is white, juicy, and mild in taste, while the skin is thin. The average weight of a marketable root crop is 15–20 g. The variety is distinguished by the uniformity of root crops and a compact rosette of leaves, which facilitates care and harvest collection. Radish is rich in vitamin C, fiber, and mustard oils, which promote improved metabolism and prevent fat deposition. Due to its taste qualities, it is widely used fresh as a piquant addition to sandwiches, salads, and also goes well with meat and egg dishes. The flesh is dense and aromatic, which makes this variety an excellent choice for diversifying vegetable assortments, cold appetizers, and buffets. Growing the 'English Breakfast' variety does not require special conditions; it is undemanding and quickly forms large root crops. Sowing is recommended in late April – early May to a depth of about 1 cm with inter-row spacing of 5–7 on 15 cm. Yield reaches 2.1–2.6 kg per square meter. Repeat sowings in mid-July allow obtaining an additional harvest in August–September, which makes this variety particularly attractive for gardeners and farmers.
