Svitnyy — a medium-early bush-type watermelon variety that matures in 108-125 days. The plant is strong and bushy, with a bush diameter of 0.6-0.8 meters. The fruits have a round, slightly flattened shape, light gray color, smooth surface without a distinct pattern. Fruit weight varies from 3.5 to 8 kg, the flesh is light-orange, 4-6 cm thick, crisp, juicy, and has moderate sweetness.
The variety is characterized by high yield — under proper agronomic practices, 35 to 46 tons of quality fruits can be harvested per hectare. Seeds are of medium to large size, white in color, weighing 280-350 grams per 1000 seeds, with high seed yield (approximately 6 kg per 100 m²). Svitnyy is fully suitable for mechanized cultivation and harvesting, making it convenient for industrial production.
For sowing, seeds should be sown when the soil temperature reaches 12°C, at a depth of 4-5 cm, with a sowing rate of 0.4 g/m² and a planting density of approximately 10,000 plants per hectare. This versatile watermelon variety is suitable for both table use and seed production, combining good taste qualities with high productivity.
