Pumpkin Camillo

Austrian Selection for the Professional Market

The «Camillo» pumpkin from Saatbau embodies European standards in melon cultivation. The originator, Saatbau Linz eGen, focused on achieving the perfect balance between cultivation efficiency and commercial harvest value. This variety has long been a recognized asset for farms focused on long-term storage and stable sales channels.

Agricultural Profile

The key feature of «Camillo» is its vegetative growth pattern. The plant possesses an unlimited vine, requiring sufficient nutrient area for optimal development. This growth habit allows the crop to effectively utilize solar energy and produce high-quality fruit even under variable weather conditions.

• Fruit Weight: Stable performance in the 8–10 kg range makes this variety highly convenient for logistics and retail purposes.
• Appearance: The rind features distinct dark green stripes, giving the fruit a marketable and recognizable aesthetic.
• Storage Life: One of the variety’s greatest strengths. «Camillo» retains its taste and visual appeal for many months, which is critical for producers planning winter sales.

Why Growers Choose Saatbau

By selecting «Camillo» seeds, growers receive more than just planting material; they acquire the results of years of breeding excellence from the Austrian house of Saatbau. The reliability of this variety is backed by rigorous quality control at every stage of production. In today’s market, where demands for appearance and shelf life are constantly increasing, «Camillo» remains a gold standard that helps mitigate risks during crop marketing.
