Pumpkin PARISIAN GOLD

Technical Profile of the 'Parizhskaya Zolotaya' Variety

Developed by the renowned Agrofirma Poisk, the 'Parizhskaya Zolotaya' is a large-fruited pumpkin variety engineered for extended storage and consistent yield performance. The technical focus of this cultivar lies in its robust genetics, which ensure reliable fruit development under various climatic conditions.

Key Specifications and Fruit Characteristics

• Fruit Weight: Each pumpkin averages between 5–8 kg. This size is specifically optimized for both commercial processing and retail markets, balancing ease of handling with yield efficiency.
• Storage Longevity: The structural integrity of the rind and the density of the flesh result in exceptional shelf life. The fruit retains its marketability and nutritional value for several months post-harvest, a critical factor for year-round agricultural planning.

Agronomic Rationale

The breeding program, led by experts including N.N. Klimenko and S.V. Maksimov at Agrofirma Poisk, has produced a plant that effectively manages nutrient distribution during the fruit-setting phase. Achieving the maximum weight potential of 8 kg is dependent on stable water supply and targeted nutrition during peak growth. 'Parizhskaya Zolotaya' is noted for maintaining a consistent sugar-to-fiber ratio, which preserves its culinary quality and texture, resisting the softening typically associated with long-term storage. Its resistance to premature over-maturation simplifies the harvesting process, ensuring a more predictable supply chain.
