Pumpkin Paradise

Field Stability and Predictability

When working with the "Paradiz" variety from the Dnipropetrovsk Research Station of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing (NAAS), the focus is on predictable yields. As an operator, you benefit from the consistent geometry of the fruit: the rounded shape significantly simplifies loading and transportation, as the pumpkins stack tightly in containers, minimizing voids and the risk of mechanical damage during transit.

Operation and Storage

The key asset of this variety is its long shelf life. In practical terms, this eliminates the need to rush sales immediately after harvest. The dense yellow-brown peel acts as a robust protective barrier. In a properly equipped storage facility, the pumpkin maintains its marketability for a long period, allowing you to wait for peak market prices.

• Transportation: The rounded shape ensures compact stacking, reducing logistics costs per unit.
• Storage Management: High storability leads to fewer losses from spoilage, reducing labor costs for sorting and inspection.
• Harvesting: The convenient shape makes manual or semi-mechanized harvesting easier; the fruit fits comfortably in the hand, increasing the pace of field operations.

Choosing this variety means prioritizing minimal post-harvest losses, making it an effective tool for farms focused on long-term storage and winter-to-spring distribution.
