Watermelon Medun

Consistent Yield in the Crimson Sweet Segment

The «Medun» watermelon by Minami Poland SP.Z.O.O. is a choice for farmers who prioritize predictability and classic quality standards. Based on the time-tested Crimson Sweet genetic type, this hybrid guarantees excellent adaptability to changing growing conditions and high marketability.

Key Advantages

• Precision Maturation: A maturity period of 60–70 days allows growers to plan harvests for both early markets and the main season, minimizing the risks of field over-ripening.
• Mass Standard: Fruits weighing 9.0–12.0 kg perfectly match the consumer demand for a "family-sized" watermelon, simplifying logistics and retail sales.
• Logistical Efficiency: The oval-round shape ensures convenience for packaging and stacking, significantly reducing breakage rates during transportation.

The breeder behind the variety, Andrii Oleksiiovych Shevchenko, focused on balancing earliness with fruit size, resulting in a firm, deep-red flesh with excellent taste profiles. It is a result of selective efforts aimed at high-performance farming.

Who is this hybrid for?

«Medun» is an optimal solution for large-scale farms and professional growers. Its strength lies in its consistency of form and size, which is critical for wholesale buyers. Like many Crimson Sweet types, it requires precise nutritional management to reach the maximum weight of 12 kg, making it a professional-grade crop that rewards careful fertilization practices.
