BIG MAX

The Big Max pumpkin variety is a large-fruited type capable of reaching weights over 50 kg and diameters up to 80 cm. The fruits are almost round, with bright yellow-orange skin and very thick, about 10 cm, flesh of the same rich color. Due to their size and dense structure, these pumpkins are excellent for making pies and also store well for long periods.

To successfully grow the Big Max variety, fertile soil, a sufficient amount of moisture, and plenty of space for growth are required. With proper care and limiting the number of fruits on one vine (leaving one or two pumpkins and pinching off stem tips after 3-5 fruits form), maximum size and weight can be achieved. Ripening occurs 110-120 days after germination, which allows for large and high-quality pumpkins, often used for competitions and exhibitions, especially in the USA.

When growing, it is recommended to place the fruits vertically on the bed, which helps form a beautiful round shape without deformities. Specialists note that such pumpkins turn out to be very large and heavy, making them difficult to lift, which confirms their high quality and correspondence to the variety name Big Max.
