Pumpkin MUSKATNAYA

Quality Standards in the Butternut Pumpkin Segment

The «Muskatnaya» squash, developed by the specialists at Agrofirma Poisk and the Federal Rice Research Center, is a staple in many agricultural portfolios, known primarily for its reliability and long-term storage potential. This variety is chosen by growers for its predictable performance and the iconic «guitar» shape—a cylindrical neck widening into a bulbous base, where the densest and sweetest flesh is concentrated.

Cultivation and Production Profile

The plant features an indeterminate vine, requiring sufficient space for healthy development. This characteristic allows the crop to effectively utilize soil nutrients to yield fruits weighing between 3 and 8 kg. Such versatility makes it a popular choice for both small-scale private farming and commercial operations aimed at the winter produce market.

• Storage Life: The standout feature of this variety is its exceptional shelf life. It retains its commercial quality and flavor profile for months after harvest.
• Usage: With a high content of natural sugars and carotene, this squash is highly valued in culinary applications, ranging from baby food production to professional confectionery.

The reputation of the «Muskatnaya» variety rests on the balance between agronomic hardiness and culinary excellence. It offers the consistency that modern growers require to minimize post-harvest losses and ensure high-quality supplies through the spring season.
