AJOUR HONEY is a large-fruited muskmelon pumpkin variety, distinguished by large round fruits weighing from 4 to 9 kg with a dense, yet thin and tough rind. The fruits feature a bright color and clearly pronounced ribs, while the pulp, up to 10 cm thick, has a yellow-orange color, juiciness, and a crunchy texture. The variety is characterized by high sugar content (6-8%) and carotene (about 6 mg), giving the pumpkin a rich sweet taste and aroma that surpasses many known varieties. The plant is powerful, long-vined, adapts well to various climatic conditions, and is resistant to diseases and drought. The maturity period is early—85-90 days, allowing for quick harvest. Thanks to the elastic corky rind, the fruits are well transported and store excellently, making the variety convenient for long-term storage and subsequent use. AJOUR HONEY is versatile in application: aromatic juice, porridges, and various dishes are prepared from it, and it is also used fresh, boiled, stewed, canned, dried, and dehydrated. High dietary qualities and rich taste make this variety attractive for both home growing and commercial production.
