Pumpkin Golias

A Czech Giant in Your Field: Why "Golias" is a Top Choice

In the vegetable seed market, Czech breeding by Moravoseed is synonymous with reliability and predictable performance. The "Golias" pumpkin is a prime example of a large-fruited variety that has become a staple for both professional farmers and home gardeners. This variety is highly regarded for its balanced combination of vegetative vigor and culinary versatility.

Biological Traits and Yield Potential

The defining feature of "Golias" is its robust vegetative growth. The plant develops long, vigorous vines, requiring adequate space to fully express its genetic potential. Under proper agronomic management, the fruits reach impressive sizes, ranging from 8 to 10 kg, all while maintaining a consistent, classic round shape.

• Plant type: Vining, vigorous.
• Fruit shape: Uniform, round.
• Average weight: 8–10 kg.
• Shelf life: Excellent, maintaining market quality over long-term storage.

Practical Application and Market Reputation

"Golias" is widely considered one of the best varieties for long-term storage. Thanks to its dense internal structure and resilient skin, the fruit exhibits exceptional shelf life, making it suitable for both processing and winter market sales. It is a preferred choice for producing purées, juices, and confectionery products, where a high flesh-to-seed ratio and moderate sweetness are essential. The consistency of Moravoseed’s breeding ensures that each harvest meets specified parameters, minimizing the risk of quality loss during transportation and storage.
