Description Smuglyanka
Smuglyanka is a medium-early winter wheat variety of high-intensity type belonging to the erythrospermum group. Plants reach a height of 85–100 cm, have cylindrical, medium-length and dense ears with large egg-shaped red kernels weighing 39–42 g per 1000 kernels. The variety is characterized by high protein content in the grain — from 13.0 to 14.4 %.

This variety was developed for intensive cultivation technologies and is suitable for various regions of Ukraine, including the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones. The yield potential ranges from 100 to 115 centners per hectare (10.0–11.5 tons per hectare). Smuglyanka responds well to application of mineral fertilizers and requires effective protection against diseases and pests to achieve maximum productivity.

The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging (9 points), shattering (7–9 points), root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew (all 7–9 points). Additionally, it possesses good winter hardiness (6 points) and high drought resistance (7–9 points). Sowing rate varies depending on the cultivation zone and moisture availability, ranging from 180–250 kg per hectare.
