SonceDar is a mid-season wheat variety developed by the Ivanovskaya Selection Station. It is characterized by high drought and winter hardiness, as well as resistance to lodging and shattering. The vegetation period of the variety ranges from 280 to 290 days, enabling a stable yield under various climatic conditions. The grain is large, red in color, with a thousand-grain weight of 47–52 grams, indicating its high quality and uniformity. The baking qualities of the Soncedar variety are rated as good, with raw gluten content ranging from 23.6% to 25.1%, ensuring high technological properties in bread production. The potential yield of the variety reaches 90–95 centners per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural producers aiming for high-quality yields. The grains from main and side spikes are well-aligned, facilitating the production of quality seed material. The variety is also known for its resistance to various diseases, including hard scab, enhancing its reliability in agronomic terms. Due to its characteristics, Soncedar is widely used for growing winter wheat in Ukraine, providing stable quality and high productivity.
