Wheat SOLINDO KS

Winter Wheat «Solindo KS»: Field Performance Review

When selecting seed material from the French breeding house Caussade Semences, agronomists look for consistent results. The «Solindo KS» hybrid is a reliable performer that prioritizes yield stability and phytosanitary resilience. It is designed for operations that value a balance between development intensity and field health.

Plant Development and Field Behavior

With a plant height of 100–110 cm, this wheat demonstrates excellent crop density and structural integrity. The awned head shape is not just a morphological trait; it contributes to better resilience under varying environmental conditions. The vegetation period of 90–100 days is the «sweet spot» for planning harvest schedules, ensuring efficiency even in unpredictable weather. Notably, its resistance to powdery mildew stands out; in seasons with high humidity, this hybrid maintains a healthier stand, which significantly optimizes the fungicide budget.

Agronomic Efficiency

The yield potential of 8–9 tons per hectare is an achievable target if the technological protocol is followed. Developed by Lidea France and Caussade Semences, this hybrid is an intensive type. For the operator, this means the crop is highly responsive to balanced nitrogen fertilization. It is not a «plant and forget» variety, but for those who manage their crops with precision, the return on investment is clearly reflected in grain quantity and quality.

Practical Takeaways:

• Disease Resistance: Exceptional performance against powdery mildew reduces chemical intervention costs.
• Harvestability: Optimal height and strong stalks minimize combine harvesting losses.
• Consistency: Provides stable, high-quality grain yields across different soil conditions.

«Solindo KS» is a workhorse that, when managed according to its intensive growth requirements, guarantees a profitable and predictable harvest. It is a solid choice for farms aiming for above-average performance.
