Wheat variety «Konovalova Memorial» is a soft spring wheat with a characteristic purple grain tint, developed by scientists of the Timiryazev Academy. This variety is distinguished by its medium maturity, short vegetation period, and short stature, which facilitate its cultivation. The grain of this variety weighs 36-40 grams per 1000 grains and belongs to the variety Uralicum. Thanks to its resistance to lodging and drought, «Konovalova Memorial» demonstrates high yields, reaching up to 45 centners per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural production in various regions of Russia. A feature of this variety is the increased protein content, exceeding the indicators of analogues by 3-4%, which contributes to improved nutritional value of the product. Flour obtained from purple grain has a grey tint, indicating a high level of antioxidant properties. Bread baked from such flour is soft and porous, making the variety particularly valuable for dietary and therapeutic-preventive nutrition. These qualities are confirmed by phytosanitary studies conducted at the Oryol Laboratory, where seeds of the variety received the appropriate certificates. The variety «Konovalova Memorial» is recommended for cultivation in the Central, Central-Black Earth and Volga-Vyatsk regions of Russia. Its resistance to adverse weather conditions and high productivity allow it to be used both for industrial production of flour, grains, and bakery products, and for creating therapeutic products. Thus, this variety combines high agro-technical efficiency and improved food characteristics, making it a promising choice for farmers and food producers.
