Originator — Institute of Plant Growing named after V. Ya. Yuryev, NAAN.
Registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2003 for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine.
Variety characteristics. Variety — lutescens. Ear white, awnless, glabrous, length 8-10 cm, awn density 30-35, medium density. Glumes medium, egg-shaped. Lobe short and blunt. Shoulder sloping. Midrib strongly expressed throughout the length. Grain — red, oval shape, medium groove, short awn, dense pubescence, medium phenolic coloration. Plant habit erect, stem strong and unbranched. 1000-grain weight 38 — 40 g.
Biological characteristics. Plant height — 95-100 cm, vegetation period — 90-95 days. Resistant to lodging, ear easily threshes. Exceeds standard for resistance to powdery mildew and rust. Resistance to Fusarium and Swedish fly is at standard level.
Agronomic characteristics. Intensive type variety. Potential yield 5.5 t / ha. According to baking properties, it belongs to valuable wheat. According to laboratory data from the Institute's grain quality laboratory, at a yield of 4.06 t / ha, loaf volume was 516 ml, gluten content 33.6%, protein content 14.16%.
Agronomic requirements. Developed for cultivation on high agrofond. Sowing rate 4.5 million viable seeds per hectare. To obtain high yields, optimal doses of mineral fertilizers should be applied, and plants should be protected from pests using insecticides such as Danadim and Boray, and from diseases using fungicides Folikur and Falcon, especially after ear emergence. Seeds should be treated with insecticide prior to sowing.
