Variety distinguishing features. Variety — Medicum (medicum). Plants of medium height (70 — 88 cm). Anthocyanic coloration of leaf tips of moderate intensity, long, smooth leaves. Two-row ear, with moderate waxy coating, cylindrical, loose (10.6 nodes per 4 cm), long (9.5 — 11.0 cm). Sterile spikelet deviated. Flower scales finely wrinkled, with weakly expressed venation, gradually transitioning into the leaf. Grain elliptical, yellow, with husk. Main awn long-haired. 1000-grain weight 48 — 55 g.
Biological features. Maturity group — medium-maturing, vegetation period 77 — 85 days. Resistant to lodging (7.0 — 8.0 points), highly resistant to drought (8.1 — 9.0 points). Variety is a source of group resistance to infection by powdery and rust pathogens (8 points).
Agronomic features. Semi-intensive variety. Recommended seeding rate 4.0 — 4.5 million viable seeds per hectare. Standard agronomic practices for the cultivation zone, early sowing dates.
Under production conditions, yield of the variety reached 6.60 — 6.80 t/ha ("Agrofirm Dzulinka", Vinnytsia region). Potential yield 8.5 — 9.5 t/ha. Protein content in grain 11.5 — 14.0%. Percentage of conditioned seeds 75 — 85%.
