Soybean ESTAFETA

Reliable Yields within Tight Timeframes

The Estafeta soybean variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Institute of Plant Production, is tailored for farms aiming to optimize their harvest schedules. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, this variety allows agronomists to maneuver effectively between planting and harvesting dates, successfully filling the demand for early-maturing crops.

Field Performance Advantages

• Optimal Plant Architecture: A height of 80–90 cm ensures smooth harvesting operations, minimizing losses because the lower pods are positioned at an ideal height for combine headers.
• Quality Grain Indicators: A protein content of 39–41% combined with 22–23% oil content makes this variety a preferred raw material for processing plants as well as for on-farm production of high-protein feed.

Practical experience with Estafeta highlights its resilience to the primary climatic challenges found across Ukraine. The variety is suitable for intensive crop rotations where clearing fields quickly for winter crops is a priority. Due to its moderate plant height, the soybean shows excellent lodging resistance, which is critical during harvest in humid or windy conditions.

Farms selecting Estafeta prioritize outcome predictability. The variety does not require radical changes to existing cultivation technologies, responding well to standard fertilization and plant protection schemes already implemented in the region.
