Year of inclusion in the State Register of plant varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine — 2013.
Recommended cultivation zone — Forest-steppe, Steppe.
Originator — Institute of Plant Growing named after V. Ya. Yuryev, NAAN.
Variety distinguishing features. Variety — argillosperma (argillosperma.). Medium-height plants (75-85 cm), semi-compressed shape with thick central stem, yellow-brown pubescence, purple flowers, seeds rounded-convex, light-yellow, hilum color of the seed coat with eye, 1000-seed mass — 140-150 g.
Biological characteristics. The variety belongs to the early-maturing group (vegetation period duration 92-97 days), has increased drought resistance, resistant to lodging (8.0-9.0 points), seed shattering (8.0-9.0 points), pathogens and pests (8.0 points), well-suited for mechanized harvesting. The variety can be used as a preceding crop for winter wheat.
Agricultural characteristics. Recommended seeding rate 0.6-0.7 million viable seeds per hectare. Seeding method — conventional row or wide-row (row spacing 45 cm). Agronomy of the variety is generally accepted for the cultivation zone.
In the variety trial conducted by the Institute of Plant Growing named after V. Ya. Yuryev (2007-2009), the yield of the variety was at the level of 1.85 t / ha. Maximum yield of the variety in 2010 was: in Polissia — 2.30 t / ha (Lviv Regional Center of Crop Varieties Testing), in Forest-steppe — 2.47 t / ha (Vinnytsia Regional Center of Crop Varieties Testing), in Steppe — 2.82 t / ha (Kiliy District Seed Station of Odesa region). In 2011, the highest yields were: in Polissia — 2.59 t / ha (Horodenkivska District Seed Station), in Forest-steppe — 5.07 t / ha (Kelmensky District Seed Station), in Steppe — 2.83 t / ha (Pervomaysky District Seed Station of Mykolaiv region). Potential yield 3.7-3.9 t / ha, protein content in seeds 39-40%, oil 22-23%.
