Soybean Spritna

Stability and quality: why "Sprytna" remains a benchmark

In the segment of mid-early soybeans of Ukrainian breeding, the "Sprytna" variety occupies a special niche. Developed by experts at the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS, this variety is focused on agronomists who prioritize predictable yields. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, the variety fits perfectly into the crop rotation systems of most Ukrainian regions, minimizing risks associated with early autumn frosts.

Agronomic portrait and productivity

The key feature of "Sprytna" is the balance between morphological parameters and the chemical composition of the grain. The plant height of 70–80 cm ensures convenience during harvest: the lower pods are located at a height sufficient to minimize losses during header operations.

• Protein and Oil Potential: Protein content ranges from 39–41%, while oil content stands at 22–23%. This makes the variety highly competitive for the processing industry.
• Adaptability: The variety demonstrates resistance to lodging and seed shattering, which is critical during late harvesting periods.

Who is this choice for?

"Sprytna" is an optimal solution for farms using intensive or classical cultivation technologies. Thanks to its high plasticity, it is tolerant of minor errors in agrotechnical practices. Its primary weakness is its demand for moisture during critical development stages, though this is a common trait for most high-protein Ukrainian varieties. Growers receive a reliable "workhorse" that, when basic nutrient and protection regulations are met, guarantees stable output of high-quality commercial yields.
