Soybean Romantika

Stable Yields in Short Growing Seasons

The Romantyka soybean variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is designed for farms prioritizing predictable results and early maturity. With a growing season of 90-100 days, this variety enables harvesting during optimal windows, mitigating risks from autumn frosts or heavy rainfall common in various Ukrainian regions.

Farming Practice and Productivity

Romantyka is the choice for growers seeking a balance between operational efficiency and grain quality. Reaching a height of 70-80 cm, the plant exhibits excellent lodging resistance, simplifying combine operations and minimizing harvest losses. Farmers choose this variety for:

• Streamlined harvest logistics: early ripening helps balance equipment utilization across large areas.
• High-protein production: with a protein content of 39-41%, this soybean is highly sought after by processors for both feed and food industries.
• Consistent oil content: 21-22% oil provides strong market liquidity when delivering to grain elevators.

The variety is well-adapted to Ukrainian soil and climatic conditions, reducing plant stress during seasonal transitions. Romantyka efficiently utilizes spring-summer moisture, which is critical for intensive farming systems. Its moderate stem height eliminates the need for expensive growth regulators, allowing for a more efficient crop protection budget.
