The 'Virage' potato variety is a mid-early table variety with a maturation period of 65 to 80 days. The plants are medium-height with semi-erect stems and medium-sized green leaves. Tubers are oval-round in shape with yellow skin and light-yellow flesh, weighing from 90 to 145 grams. Each plant produces 8 to 12 tubers. The starch content in the tubers ranges from 14.8% to 16.8%, ensuring good taste and versatility in cooking: tubers are suitable for boiling, frying, and baking.

The yield of the 'Virage' variety ranges from 124 to 283 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 440-442 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the standards of some other varieties. The tuber marketability is within 74-90%, and storability reaches 95-96%, ensuring long-term storage without loss of quality. The variety is characterized by good appearance and resistance to mechanical damage.

'Virage' exhibits comprehensive resistance to a number of diseases: it is practically immune to potato late blight and golden potato cyst nematode, and shows moderate resistance to potato mosaic virus. However, during phytophthora epidemics, the variety may be susceptible to this disease, particularly affecting foliage and tubers. Due to its characteristics and resistance, the 'Virage' variety is recommended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatka region and other suitable climatic zones.
