Description Signal
Potato variety Signal is a mid-season table variety with a maturity period of 80 to 95 days. Plants are tall, semi-erect, with medium to large green leaves. Tubers are oval-round in shape, with partially red skin and light-yellow flesh. Average weight of marketable tubers ranges from 101 to 208 grams, and the number of tubers per plant reaches 10–13. Starch content in tubers is 15.4–17.7%, providing good taste qualities and versatility in cooking, including frying, baking, and boiling.

The yield of Signal variety is high, ranging from 212 to 475 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 479 centners, significantly exceeding the standards of many other varieties. Marketable tuber percentage is 84–98%, and storability reaches 94%, indicating good preservation during storage. The variety is resistant to several diseases, including potato cancer, crinkle mosaic, and striped mosaic, as well as moderately resistant to late blight on foliage and tubers. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode.
