Description SAROVSKY
Sarovsky potato is an early-maturing table variety developed for cultivation in Siberia, the Urals, and the Far East. The plant is of medium height, reaching 50-60 cm, with semi-erect bushes and medium-sized green leaves. Tubers have an oval-round shape with small, medium-depth eyes, partially red skin, and yellow flesh. The marketable tuber mass ranges from 93 to 147 grams, and starch content varies from 13.9% to 20%, ensuring excellent taste and moderate cooking quality without darkening of the flesh. The tubers have a sweet flavor, making this variety suitable for making side dishes and first courses.

Sarovsky is distinguished by high yield and early maturity. The full maturation period is 60-70 days after seedling emergence. Yield varies depending on harvest timing: at 45 days after emergence, it reaches 83-154 c/ha; at 55 days — 114-223 c/ha; maximum yield can reach 396 c/ha. Tubers have a marketability of 83-98% and a storage capacity of 96%, indicating good product preservation during storage.

The variety exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including potato scab, golden potato cyst nematode, rizoctonia, black leg, and ring rot. It is moderately susceptible to late blight. Due to these characteristics and adaptation to climatic conditions of cultivation regions, Sarovsky is a reliable choice for private households and commercial production.
