Description Patriot
The potato variety Patriot is a medium-early table variety of Russian selection with a maturation period of 65-80 days. The plant is of medium height, intermediate type, semi-upright, with medium-sized, open and green leaves, as well as medium-sized flowers. Tubers are oval-round in shape with small eyes, covered with red skin, and the flesh is light-yellow. The mass of marketable tubers varies from 90 to 124 grams, and the starch content is 14.0-16.3%. The number of tubers per plant reaches 10-15 pieces.

The yield of the Patriot variety ranges from 176 to 390 centners per hectare, which corresponds to the standard of the variety Elizabeth and exceeds the standard of Nevsky by 169 centners per hectare. Maximum yield may reach 457 centners per hectare, which is 157 centners higher than the standard of Nevsky. The tuber marketability is 73-94%, and storability reaches 95%. The taste of the potato is rated as good to excellent, culinary type BC, making it suitable for frying, boiling, and baking.

The Patriot variety is resistant to the potato cancer pathogen and late blight of stems and tubers, as well as to leaf curl. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode. These characteristics make this variety attractive for cultivation in various regions, ensuring high quality and stable yield.
