"Polissky Dzherelo" is a mid-late maturing potato variety (115–125 days) developed by the Institute of Potato Research of the NAAS of Ukraine. The variety is engineered specifically to withstand challenging environmental conditions where soil-borne diseases pose a significant threat to yield stability.

Technical Specifications and Resistance Profile

• Nematode Resistance: The variety possesses a high genetic barrier against the Golden Potato Cyst Nematode, providing a sustainable solution for regions where soil sanitation is difficult.
• Common Scab Immunity: Superior resistance to common scab ensures high marketable yield with a clean, smooth pink skin, significantly reducing post-harvest sorting losses.
• Phytophthora Control: Inherent resistance to late blight (phytophthora) lowers the pressure on chemical crop protection, making this variety more efficient during high-humidity cycles.

Culinary and Storage Performance

The tuber profile features a distinctive pink skin protecting a creamy-colored flesh. With a starch content of 16–17% and a sensory rating of 4.5 points, this variety offers an excellent culinary balance, suitable for a variety of gastronomic applications. Technologically, the tubers demonstrate strong storability, maintaining texture and flavor integrity throughout the long-term storage phase.
