ONEZHSKY

The potato variety Onezhsky is a medium-early table variety of Russian selection, with a maturation period of 65 to 80 days. Tubers are elongated-oval, with very small eyes, yellow skin and flesh. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 76 to 102 grams, and the number of tubers per plant reaches 8-12. Starch content in tubers is 14.4-16.9%, ensuring good taste and versatility in culinary applications, including boiling, frying, and baking. Storage capacity of tubers is high — 98%, which contributes to long-term storage without loss of quality.

Plants of the Onezhsky variety are of medium height with semi-erect leaf type. Leaves are large, intermediate type, green, with large flower buds and no or very weak anthocyanin coloration on the inner side. Marketable yield of the variety ranges from 167 to 308 centners per hectare, with maximum yield reaching 444 centners, corresponding to the level of standard varieties of the Northern region.

The variety is resistant to a number of diseases and pests, including potato cyst nematode, golden potato cyst nematode, and late blight on foliage, with medium resistance to late blight on tubers. Due to these characteristics and high consumer qualities, the Onezhsky variety is recommended for cultivation in northern regions, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
