TFI 2938 B — high-oleic sunflower hybrid, intended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Northern Steppe regions. This mid-early hybrid has a vegetation period of 110-115 days and belongs to the medium-maturing group. Plants reach a height of 155-165 cm, possess a strong root system and high leafiness, which helps reduce water loss under prolonged drought conditions. The sunflower head is semi-tilted downward, with a diameter of 22-24 cm, facilitating harvest and resistance to lodging and breakage.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to a wide spectrum of diseases, including phomopsis, head and stem sclerotinia, verticillium, rust, anthracnose, and false powdery mildew. Additionally, TFI 2938 B is resistant to the complex of weeds from the genus *Amaranthus* A-F and the herbicide Euro-Lightning, which simplifies crop protection and increases productivity. High drought tolerance and rapid moisture release from the head upon maturity make this hybrid particularly suitable for cultivation under extensive and semi-intensive conditions.

The seeds of TFI 2938 B have a high oleic acid content — 89% — making the oil derived from them especially valuable for the food industry. Oil content of the seeds is 49-50%, and the 1000-seed weight is approximately 60 g. Medium-sized kernels have an excellent flavor, allowing them to be used not only for oil production but also for roasting or in confectionery production. The recommended planting density varies by region: for Steppe — 45-55 thousand plants per hectare, for Forest-Steppe and Polесье — 60-65 thousand plants per hectare.
