SANDRIN potato — an early-maturing table variety of German selection, characterized by high yield and good consumer qualities. The vegetation period is 65-75 days, with the first harvest possible as early as day 45 after emergence. Plants are medium-height, semi-erect with medium-sized green leaves. Tubers are elongated-oval in shape with small eyes, yellow skin, and light-yellow flesh. Marketable tuber mass ranges from 96 to 132 grams, with starch content of 12.8-14.3%, making the variety suitable for salads, soups, and frying. Marketability reaches 77-98%, and storability — 92%, ensuring good harvest storage. The SANDRIN variety demonstrates high yield — from 160 to 392 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 607 centners. Yield is also high early on: on day 45 after emergence, it reaches 62-275 centners, and on day 55 — 130-297 centners per hectare, exceeding the performance of several standard varieties. The number of tubers per plant is 9-15, contributing to stable and abundant yield. The variety shows good resistance to several diseases and pests. It is resistant to potato cancer, golden potato cyst nematode, as well as striped and wrinkled mosaic. However, it is susceptible to late blight of foliage and tubers and vulnerable to Colorado beetle. The variety requires moisture, which should be considered during cultivation. Preferred cultivation regions — Northwest, Central, and Volga-Vyatka regions of Russia. Due to its combination of high yield, good taste, and disease resistance, SANDRIN potato is an excellent choice for table use.
